Getting the foundations right
There are no shortcuts to a lasting floor. In this Darlington property, the existing chipboard base had deteriorated after drawing in moisture over the years. The damaged material was removed and replaced with timber floorboards, giving the new laminate a sound base rather than covering over the problem.
